How We Helped Launch The Back Up Bridesmaid

Every new business hits the same wall on day one: nobody can find you yet. You can have a great idea and a clear offer, but if a potential customer searches for you and finds nothing, or a half-finished page, they move on.

That was the starting point when Anna came to me with The Back Up Bridesmaid. She had the idea and the drive. What she needed was an online presence that made people trust her enough to get in touch, and someone to help her think through the launch.

What we built together

A custom, mobile-first website. Most enquiries for a service like this happen on a phone, so the site was designed small-screen first, with a clear contact form and fast load times.

Google Business Profile, set up and optimised. For a new local business this is often more important than the website itself. It is what shows up in Google Maps and the local results panel.

Content and structure guidance. A new service needs to be explained simply. We worked through the wording together so visitors understand what she offers within a few seconds.

Hosting, SEO basics and launch support. SSL, page titles, descriptions and local business schema were all built in from day one, with support through the launch period.

Why consulting matters as much as code

The part of this project I enjoyed most wasn't the build. It was sitting down with a founder and helping shape how the business shows up to the world: who the customer is, what they are worried about, and what they need to see before they get in touch.

A website is only as good as the thinking behind it. That is why every project I take on starts with a conversation, not a template.
